About the
Fine Arts League of Cary
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
The Fine Arts League of Cary promotes the artistic growth of area artists and increases public awareness of visual art. With members throughout the Triangle, FALC sponsored exhibitions and programs connect art makers and art lovers. FALC is a member-led nonprofit organization. For over 20 years, we have served lovers of the visual arts. We welcome established and emerging artists and provide regular opportunities to exhibit, learn, and socialize with others who share artistic interests.
Juried Exhibitions
FALC hosts annual juried exhibitions, where artists from the region can submit their work for display and awards. The 29th Annual Juried Exhibition, for example, is scheduled from August 21 to September 14, 2024, at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center.
Workshops and Classes:
The organization provides workshops and classes on various art techniques and mediums, which are available at reduced prices for members. These sessions are designed to help both emerging and established artists improve their skills.
Art Critiques and Roundtables
FALC regularly organizes art critiques and roundtable discussions, offering artists the opportunity to receive constructive feedback and engage in discussions about their work and contemporary art issues.
Exhibition Opportunities
Social Events
Members have opportunities to exhibit their artwork in public venues across the Triangle area. This includes rotating exhibitions in local galleries, community centers, and other public spaces.
Monthly meetings often feature guest speakers, artist demonstrations, and social events, providing networking opportunities for artists and art lovers alike.
Special Programs for Youth and Seniors
FALC also runs special programs such as the Wake County Teen Exhibition, which showcases the work of young artists, and offers discounted memberships for seniors.
